Gannon Gillespie joined Tostan in 2004 as a volunteer in Dakar, Senegal. He has since held a range of positions in strategy, development, and management for the organization in both the US and Dakar, Senegal. Currently, Gannon plays a consulting role as Special Advisor, supporting Tostan’s CEO, Board, and leadership teams in reaching Tostan’s strategic goals and responding to emerging opportunities. Gannon has a BA in Creative Writing from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He has been a writing consultant to UNICEF NY, a guest lecturer for several leading universities, and a founding member of several social change organizations and networks.
