PHILANTHROPY ADVISOR

Kristen Venick

Kristen C. Venick is a philanthropy advisor seeking to push boundaries across the industry to maximize social impact. Kristen was previously the Director of Corporate Giving at Niagara Cares, the philanthropic arm of Niagara Bottling, LLC.

In 2014, Kristen began working with the team at Niagara to create a new philanthropic program that initially had two goals—to support vulnerable children in the communities where Niagara team members lived and worked, and to have sustainable impact on the global water and sanitation crisis. Since that time, Niagara Cares has grown its work in the area of water and sanitation through partnerships with organizations such as Water.org and WaterEquity—and expanded its reach to provide educational support to children in its communities through local and national partnerships with organizations like Volunteers of America and Common Sense Media. Niagara Cares has also grown to support medical research in the area of follicular lymphoma.

Collaboration is a key part of Kristen’s leadership and learning at Niagara Cares, and she values her opportunities to work and partner with other like-minded organizations such as the Skoll Foundation, Milken Family Foundation, and Lymphoma Research Foundation.

Kristen is also a pediatric nurse who works as an elementary school nurse in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in oncology and stem cell transplant for almost 15 years. Kristen holds a Master of Science in Nursing from UCLA, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University.
