Interview with Janine Firpo & Ellen Remmer | Women(+) We’ve Been Waiting For | S1: Ep. 17

Janine Firpo and Ellen Remmer are Co-Founders of Invest for Better. Janine is a values-aligned investor, angel investor, and social innovator who's focused on how women can create a more just and equitable society through their financial investments. She is also the author of Activate Your Money. Ellen is a champion for impact investing, philanthropy, and social change—and a recognized leader in the field of strategic philanthropy. She is a Senior Partner at The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI)—the nonprofit philanthropic advisory firm that pioneered the field of strategic philanthropy advising—and works around the globe to help donors achieve lasting social impact.

TODAY they share their thoughts on why women shouldn't shy away from investing, but instead gravitate toward it—particularly impact investing—and how they actually make some of the most impactful and successful investors when they do.

Who should we interview next? We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Why Women(+)? We were inspired by one of the pioneers of this movement Jacki Zehner, and we adapted the term from ShePlace: “women(+) includes all self-identifying women, including cis and transgender women, non-binary and gender-fluid individuals, and all allies who share our values.”
